FTC, on whether the Federal Trade Commission’s administrative proceedings violates businesses' Fifth Amendment rights to due process. The case stems from a 2018 purchase by Axon Enterprise, which produces and sells police equipment including police body cameras, of a competitor, Vievu LLC. The FTC, an independent regulatory agency of the federal government tasked with enforcing antitrust law, opened an investigation into the acquisition. Throughout the investigation, Axon and the FTC could not come to an agreement allowing the merger.
