President Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke to reporters after meeting in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. President Biden’s visit to Ukraine came near the one-year anniversary of the country’s invasion by Russian forces. Their remarks came after a bilateral meeting that lasted about 30 minutes. President Zelensky thanked President Biden for his continued support of Ukraine throughout its conflict with Russia. President Biden said his administration would continue to send aid to Ukrainian forces, and said another round of more than $500 million in U.S. aid to Ukraine would begin soon. President Biden’s visit to Kyiv was unannounced, and came as he was traveling to Poland to meet with central and eastern European leaders. close
