The U.S. House of Representatives met to continue work on the Crime Bill. This legislation provides more than $15 billion to implement several anti-crime initiatives, including the “Three Strikes and You’re Out” law which mandates life in prison for a 3rd conviction for a violent crime. Also under the bill, more federal crimes would be subject to the death penalty, and teenagers 13 years and older could be tried as adults for certain violent crimes. close
