Members of the House Intelligence Committee discussed the findings of the committee’s report concerning the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) handling of the case of Aldrich Ames, a spy within the CIA. Among other findings, they found that the CIA failed to keep the oversight committees properly informed and that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) also failed to solve the Ames case. They also suggested solutions to these problems. The report was unanimously approved by the committee after a nine-month investigation. close
