Participants signed a peace agreement designed to end the 43 month old conflict in Bosnia among Serbs, Croatians and Muslims. It creates two states from the former territory of Bosnia, a Bosnian-Croat federation and a Serbian state. They would remain loosely connected through an overarching parliament and presidency. After the signing, each representative spoke briefly. Translation of the Russian official’s remarks was by voiceover. close
