President and Mrs. Clinton addressed families of victims of the Oklahoma City bombing which killed 169 in the Murrah federal building on April 19, 1995. The president will be in Asia on the actual anniversary. President Clinton spoke of the tragedy of almost a year ago and of the rebuilding which has happened since. He praised the survivors, relatives, and members of rescue units for their strength. He has set April 19 at 9:02 a.m. CDT as a time for all Americans to observe one minute of silence in remembrance of those who died in the bombing. close
