Following the vice presidential debate, live shots inside Mahaffey Theater were shown of the audience leaving and of the candidates greeting friends and family. Telephone lines were opened for viewer comments. A few dignitaries and other audience members were interviewed by the media in the theater. Live shots of the press room in Bayshore Center were also shown. Callers commented on social security cuts, UN rights of the child Treaty, Goals 2000 initiative, less taxation, language of the candidates, that Vice President Gore performed well, business creates jobs not government and the $10,000 tax credit among other issues. close
