He criticized those who continually attack the value of public education and that public education, both its students and teachers, should be better supported by the federal government so that schools can continue to improve. He focused particularly on the e rate federal program of providing grants to schools. He emphasized fixing failing schools, end social promotion and improve reading achievement. close
