As part of a forum titled, “Expanding the Marketplace: Inclusion, the Key to Economic Growth and Opportunity,” Reverend Jesse Jackson made opening remarks about the relationship between minorities and the stock exchange. Mr. Grasso talked about the increasing numbers of minority individuals in the financial services industry. Secretary Rubin talked about bringing all persons in inner cities into the economic mainstream. He said that inclusion is critical to the bottom line of all companies and to the national economy and that it is important to bring all Americans into the economic mainstream. Mr. Nasser talked about Ford Motor Company, technology and international trade, after which he took questions from the audience. close
