Mr. McCurry answered reporters' questions, the majority of which revolved around allegations that President Clinton had an affair with a White House intern and that he suborned perjury by encouraging her to lie under oath in a civil deposition. Mr. McCurry repeatedly said the statement issued by the president, which said President Clinton had no improper relationship with the intern and did not encourage her to lie, stood on its own. McCurry said, “I am not going to parse the statement.” close
