2018 Dodd-Frank Regulations Rollback

In March 2018, the Senate debated and passed S. 2155, the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act. The legislation exempted many banks under a $250 billion threshold from regulations under the Dodd-Frank Act. Senators debated the legislation for six days before passing it 67-31 on March 14. The measure then went to the House, where it was debated and passed on May 22. President Trump signed it into law during a ceremony at the White House on May 24.
