Ernest Boyer

Ernest L. Boyer was an American educator who was born in Dayton, Ohio. Boyer served as Chancellor of the State University of New York from 1970-1977, as United States Commissioner of Education from 1977-1979, and as President of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching from 1979 to his death in 1995.
