Jane Lubchenco

Jane Lubchenco is a Ukrainian-American environmental scientist and marine ecologist who is the former administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration , serving in that post from 2009 to 2013. She was appointed by President Barack Obama and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on March 19, 2009. She was the first woman to serve as NOAA Administrator and under secretary of commerce for oceans and atmosphere. Wikipedia*
