Luther Johnson Strange III is an American lawyer and politician who served as a United States Senator from Alabama from 2017 to 2018. He was appointed to fill that position after it was vacated by ex-U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions upon Sessions's confirmation. Wikipedia*
