Michele S. Jones was the first woman in the United States Army Reserve to reach the rank of command sergeant major. She was the first female non-commissioned officer to serve as command sergeant major to any component of the U.S. Army, and was at one time the highest-ranking female enlisted person in any branch of the United States military.
