Mirek Topolánek is a Czech politician and business manager, who served as Prime Minister of the Czech Republic from 2006 to 2009. He was Leader of the Civic Democratic Party from November 2002 to April 2010. From 2006 to 2009, Topolánek was the Member of Parliament for Prague and from 1996 to 2004 Senator from Ostrava.
