Robert E. Cushman Jr.

General Robert Everton Cushman, Jr. served as the 25th Commandant of the Marine Corps from January 1, 1972 to June 30, 1975. He was honored for heroism in battle during World War II at the battles of Guam , Bouganville and Iwo Jima . He also commanded all Marine forces in Vietnam from June - December 1967. Wikipedia*
