This program marked the 70th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift; the allied operation that used cargo planes to bypass the Soviet blockade. Two historians presented an illustrated history of the crisis, and they were then joined on stage by 92 year-old Berlin Airlift veteran Ralph Dionne, who was a C-54 flight engineer. The International Spy Museum and the Allied Museum in Berlin, Germany co-hosted this event.

On May 11, 1943, 12,500 U.S. soldiers landed on Attu Island, Alaska in an effort to force out a Japanese army that had occupied the area for almost a year. Fought in the harsh climate and terrain of the Aleutian Islands, the Battle of Attu was one of the bloodiest engagements in the Pacific theater. Mr. Obmascik told the story through the experiences of a Japanese medic and an American officer. The Denver Eclectics hosted this event.
