At the Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright discussed the purpose of foreign policy with emphasis on policy toward the “rogue” state of Iraq. After her prepared remarks, she answered questions from students in the audience. The secretary also received a phone call from the captain of the women’s ice hockey team in Nagano, Japan, and congratulated the team for winning a gold medal. close
