Ralph Nader, Consumer Advocate, spoke about the importance of constraints on corporate power to preserve other, less tangible values, such as democracy, human rights and health. He also said that democracy and decentralization of economic power was in fact better for economic growth as well as civic culture. He also warned of the growing corporate power in the U.S. over the past twenty years. After his remarks, he took questions from the audience. This was part of a program for Fulbright scholars. close
