Author David Halberstam discussed his new book, The Children. In the book, Mr. Halberstam profiled the young men and women active in the Civil Rights movement in Nashville, Tennessee in the early 1960s. Mr. Halberstam’s reporting as a young journalist in Nashville at the time served as the basis for the book. Several of the persons profiled in the book spoke on their experiences during the time. Following their opening remarks the panelists took questions from the audience. close
