David Halberstam discusses his new book, The Children In the book, Mr. Halberstam profiled the young men and women active in the Civil Rights movement in Nashville, Tennessee in the early 1960s. The book is based on Mr. Halberstam’s reporting as a young journalist in Nashville at the time. Several of the persons profiled in the book also reflected on their experiences during the time. They also took questions from the audience. close
