Subcommittee members heard testimony from Social Security Administration officials on the agency’s financial and information management practices. They testified about how these practices, which were rated highly in a General Accounting Office audit, could be applied to other agencies. This was the third in a series of hearings resulting from the first comprehensive audit of federal government agencies recently completed by the General Accounting Office. close
