Senators heard testimony about U.S.-China relations. Stanley Roth testified about the Clinton administration’s “Engagement” policy, and the results of that policy, which included the Chinese role in promoting peace on the Korean peninsula. Dr. Robert Kapp and Robert Lardy testified that the media tend to make unfounded allegations in the context of China, and that the U.S. should take a “moderate” view on relations toward China. close
