Mrs. Clinton addressed a gathering to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first women’s rights convention, held in Seneca Falls, NY. She talked about the history of the suffrage movement and the ways in which women have influenced the life of the nation. Elizabeth Caty Stanton and a group of Quaker women drafted a Declaration of Sentiments as a platform for equal rights for women. The declaration included a demand for the right to vote. Gov.
