Following a meeting with President Bill Clinton, Secretary Glickman and others talked with reporters about the summer’s drought which destroyed crops and hurt farm income across the country. President Clinton had done a radio bridge with 600-700 rural radio stations to address the drought. The entire state of Texas was declared a disaster area, as well as parts of many other states. They took questions from the media. close
