Two years after the implementation of welfare reform, President Bill Clinton shared a report on how poor families were making the transition from welfare to work. He also announced changes in regulations and the release of grants to aid the most disadvantaged of welfare recipients. He encouraged private sector companies to continue hiring those who are unemployed. close
