Richard Becker, a former attorney for Admiral Poindexter, spoke to law students at the University of Virginia about the rights of the individual when it comes to intra-governmental conflicts. Mr. Poindexter argued that in conflicts such as these the individual in essence forfeits his or her rights though that should not be the case.
