Representative Jim Leach, R-Iowa, House Banking Committee Chairman , and Committee Members heard testimony from Alan Greenspan, Federal Reserve Chairman. Chairman Greenspan testified that the Federal Reserve avoided a potential financial disaster when it decided to bail out Long-Term Capital Management’s hedge fund.
