Mr. William Spriggs, Research & Policy Director for the National Urban League, commented on the reduction of unemployment for blacks. He mentioned that it is disturbing that the ratio of black to white unemployment rate is 2 to 1. He explained that the economic recovery was the reason for the recent reduction in unemployment among African- Americans. He stated that what is disturbing is that there is a lack of wage equality between college educated blacks and whites. close
