The Federal Courts Study Committee, which was established by Congress to develop a long range plan for the future of the Federal Judiciary, including its role, workload and structure, held a series of public hearings. They heard from legal scholars and observers as well as judges and lawyers. This was one of the last hearings, held in the US Supreme Court building. close
