Secretary Robert Mosbacher discusses his recent trip to Japan. He talked about how the United States is very much together with the trade issue with Japan all the way up to and including President George H.W. Bush. While discussing the trade imbalance between the two countries, the Secretary also commented on what an extremely important ally and friend Japan was the the United States. The Secretary also spoke about Russian Immigration, that last year alone the number of people immigrating to Russia topped 200.000. Because of this, President George H.W. Bush in his meetings with Chairman Gorbachev was willing to begin negotiations on a U.S./Soviet Trade Agreement. close
