He met fellow House Democrats and others at a New Democratic Coalition session and a social function sponsored by the New Democrat Network. He talked about his impressions of his first week in the capital. Representative-elect Judy Biggert, R-Illinois, toured the Rayburn and Longworth House Office buildings to find office space.
