David Klinghofer of the National Review and Professor Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law School debated the fairness of imposing a life sentence of Jonathan Pollard who was convicted of spying for Israel. The debate took place in the wake of a Middle East peace agreement in which the U.S. agreed to Israeli requests to review his case. Mr. Dershowitz argued that the sentence was too harsh while Mr. Klinghofer proposed that the punishment was just. After the debate they answered questions from the audience. close
