The U.S. Senate continued the impeachment trial of President Bill Clinton with presentations by House managers and the President’s defense team on whether to call witnesses. Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) made a motion to hold a debate in a public session. The motion was defeated by a vote of 41 to 58 before the Senate entered into a closed session. close
