Mr. Nicholson talked about the report that President Clinton plans to target the House trial managers for defeat in the year 2000 election. He stated that the president’s agenda is revenge against those who dared to speak the truth and he stated that the Republicans will meet the president’s challenge head-on. Ms. Harrison said that if the president truly wants to put the impeachment behind him, he should not be threatening to take revenge. They took questions from reporters. Mr. Nicholson also mentioned that the Democrats in the Senate will vote to acquit the president because they are Democrats, not because he is not guilty. close
