Mohamed Sadeg al-Mashat, Iraqi ambassador to the U.S, talked about his country’s position on chemical weapons, the fate of the U.S. hostages, and the current climate in the Middle East. The ambassador also spoke about a “smear” campaign against Iraqis but said that Senator Dole’s recent visit helped clarify some of the issues between the two countries. close
