Secretary Albright talked about her upcoming briefing to Congress about Kosovo and the peace process. She mentioned that the Kosovo Albanians are willing to sign the peace agreement while the Serbians are refusing to agree to a settlement. Senator Hutchison said she would not support a bombing of Yugoslavia until the details of such action is known. She took questions from reporters. Senator Lott mentioned that the Senate had not been properly briefed on the Kosovo situation; therefore, he had requested a meeting. He also stated that the American people need to be informed about this as well. He responded to questions from reporters. They briefed reporters separately. close
