Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia Stanley Roth talked about the extraordinary economic and political development that has resulted from relations between the U.S. and Taiwan. He explained that the improvement in the relationship between China and the U.S. has also strengthened the U.S.-Taiwanese relations. He commented on the recent peaceful, democratic changes that have occurred in Taiwan. After his prepared remarks he took questions from the audience. close
