Mr. McCullough spoke at C-SPAN’s 20th anniversary dinner. He talked about the subject of his latest biography, President John Adams, and about the powers of observation and description. He said that the experience of writing engages the mind by forcing one to see the event or subject. After his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience and then he sang a short song in honor of C-SPAN’s anniversary. close
