Alexander Dubcek, Chairman of, Czechoslovakian Parliament inspired the democratic reforms in Czechoslovakia in 1968. These reforms, called "socialism with a human face", led to the Warsaw pact invasion of Czechoslovakia in August 1968. Shortly after, Mr. Dubcek was arrested, taken to Moscow, and expelled from the Communist Party. Last fall he became chairman of his country’s parliament following a revolution in November.
