Pentagon spokesman Ken Bacon, Admiral Thomas Wilson and General Charles Wald briefed reporters on the NATO mission against Serbian forces in Yugoslavia and the refugee crisis in the region. Admiral Wilson began with an intelligence briefing, saying that while the Serbian army was still operational, it was significantly weakened and that soldiers were deserting. General Wald and Mr. Bacon then used charts, photographs and video to show bomb damage, which included damage to President Milosevic’s home in Belgrade. After the presentation, they answered questions from the reporters. close
