General Wesley Clark, Supreme Allied Commander for Europe, briefed reporters about the military action against Serbian forces in Yugoslavia. He said that the campaign was showing signs of success, noting that the “noose” around President Milosevic’s neck was tightening. He also described a potential blockade of Montenegro’s ports to prevent oil resupply in Serbia. He used charts, photographs and video to demonstrate bomb damage. After his remarks he answered questions from the reporters. close
