Mr. Pelletreau talked about the history of U.S.-Iran relations and the need for more open dialogue and cooperation now that Iran has a freely-elected government. Following his prepared remarks he answered questions from the audience. Then, Mr. Curtis and Mr. Almoudi commented on U.S. policy towards Iran, noting that one of the largest obstacles to better relations was the Middle East peace process. close
