Secretary William Cohen spoke to reporters about the series of errors which allowed NATO airplanes to strike the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade. He reaffirmed that the bombing was unintentional, saying that bombing instructions were based on outdated maps and that the air crew misidentified the correct target. He then outlined an information sharing plan designed to correct the problem in the future. After his remarks he answered questions from the reporters. close
