President Clinton spoke to a group of veterans about NATO military actions against Serbian forces in Yugoslavia. He said that he regretted any loss of life arising from NATO actions, including the accidental bombing of the Chinese Embassy. He continued by saying that he was still resolved to win the fight because of the serious atrocities perpetrated by President Milosevic. He added that the goal of the mission was to bring peace to the region and bring Serbia into a more secure Europe through programs similar to the Marshall plan enacted after World War II. close
