Mr. Sorley talked about his book A Better War: The Unexamined Victories and the Final Tragedy of America’s Last Years in Vietnam, published by Harcourt Brace on June 3, 1999. The book focuses on the second half of the war starting with the arrival of General Abrams through the fall of Saigon. He argued that the war could have been won with more support from Washington. Following his remarks, he answered questions from members of the audience at he Army-Navy Club. close
