The Senate Commerce Subcommittee met to examine whether or not telephone companies should be permitted to originate video programming. The subcommittee was considering S. 2800, the Communications Competitiveness and Infrastructure Modernization Act. This bill, authored by Senator Burns, was separated from the cable regulation bill recently reported by the committee. close
