Trade union representatives met with reporters following a meeting with President Bush. They discussed policy issues for the forthcoming economic summit. AFL-CIO President Lane Kirkland explained the need for a joint statement from the Labor groups represented there. The objective being to help develop coordinated and comprehensive policies for the average citizen. Canadian Labor Leader Shirley Carr expressed her concerns to the President about the Free Trade Agreement. close
