The House passed the crime control bill, H.R. 5269 after agreeing to the Hughes, Douglas, Waxman, and Dingell amendments and rejecting the Sensenbrenner amendment. The House agreed to the Aspin motion that the conference committee on H.R. 4739, Defense authorizations, be closed to the public when sensitive material is being discussed. The House passed H.J.Res. 660. close
